Boxing Alfa Mechanics in Dublin.

The first 4 Alfas in the house were all looked after by main dealers. My 147 was originally serviced by an independent garage, before I realised that I knew more than they did when they were asking me how the bulbs come out. I have been getting all work done with an Alfa guru near Dublin city for last 2 years now. But, the prices being charged there, I can't accept anymore, way over what you'd expect.

If anyone can recommend any decent Alfa mechanics, anywhere in dublin or county dublin, can you please PM me, or say it here (If a certain somebody doesn't annoyingly start having his input by closing this thread)

Cheers,

What Dave said. He gets alot of praise from us in Dublin purely because he is a gent to work with, and honest about what he does.

Gerry Campbell is the fella to go to, I wouldn't go anywhere else Extremely honest and a gent to deal with and has been an Alfa specialist for decades It's actually really nice going there planned or not as there is nearly always a classic of some description there

Has to be Ti Autos, Gerry and his son are the best, I have seen one or two other independants recommended recently, one in Artane aswell I think, just go back through the posts and you will find it but seriously you wont find better service from Ti. I was in there on Friday evening to collect the 155 after getting the T-belt done and myself Gerry and his son sat around for ages in the office just talking Alfas and all the previous cars he has owned and them giving me advice on my current stable of cars. ITs actually something you can look forward to bringing your car in there. Its like meeting a mate for a chat.
Every time i go in there is cars other than Alfas too. I've often been in there and found the lads working on BMW's Fords, Volvos.... you name it. Thats how much respect they have.

Dont bend the rules, Rule the bends

I've dealt with Gerry myself, honest and an absolute gent. He was my first choice, but I'm aware he's sometimes v busy and wanted to have a back-up just incase!

He is usually busy but if you are stuck he'll sort you out or if it's a big job you usually don't need to wait more than 2/3 days.

well i rang Gerry on either tuesday or wednesday of last week asking when he could do my t-belt and he said "ah Friday is grand, not too busy at the moment" so give him a buzz. Alternatively try Don Baker Alfa Romeo Service and repair by Don Baker Ireland, based in Kildare but has a shop in Dublin, top Alfa mechanic too

I was at Don's place in Kildare/Meath last night - wow, it's out there! Didn't know he had a place in Dublin as well?

I've found Gerry Campbell to be very accomodating, especially once you build up a relationship with him.
