I don't think he'll be the only retiree either.

Rossi could well hang up his leathers, for a while at least i fear.

As a really close friend of Marco's, he must be in bits too, how awful the whole thing is.

RIP Marco Simoncelli, a future star and champion without a doubt, an amazing talent, taken far too early and in a horrific way.

Sadly missed already.......

It seems a bit strange the way his helmet came off though... I just wondered if he had the strap fastened up, because i am sure i have seen GP riders in the past leave them undone.
I hope it wasnt something as silly as that though

I recorded the race this Morning, but deleted it, without watching it, BUT, I tuned in to the BBC 2 highlights at 1:00pm, and there was a short, but moving conversation about Marco on there for about 5 minutes, but the programme was cancelled, quite rightly too IMHO......

Sad day indeed..........

R.I.P........Marco Simoncelli.......

Rossi has confirmed he will not be retiring, and I must say I'm glad of that, I'm sure it would have been the last thing in the world Marco would have wanted.

The funeral is tomorrow at 3pm CET, Marco, his family and all those around him will be at the forefront of my thoughts 2pm BST tomorrow.
