166 intermittent power loss problem.

Help .....

My alfa 166 2.0ts is developing an intermittent power loss problem when cold/hot at low revs in first or second gear, the car looses all power will burst to life and run fine.

The car is very well looked after, I did the following but the problem still exists however it is intermittent and it doesn't seem to be getting worse???

I swapped coil packs ~ No good
Changed Crank Sensor ~ no Good
MAF is fine

don't think its the lamda sensor

Could it be plugs ? Any Ideas lads ??

BTW.... I have a full set of 166 grey unmarked seats (front, rear & front arm rest) They are free to take away if anyone wants them .... garage clear out !!

The intake pipe between the throttle body and flow meter may have a rip in it along the bottom of it as errors will only show if a sensor is outside its parameters

I'd suspect the pipe as well. Mine has a split in it (now bodged with hot glue) It was showing the exact same symptoms..!

Only real solution is a new pipe though. They are a tad on the expensive side..!
