Shock absorber stud sheared off.

I replaced the drivers side wishbone about a week ago, which involved loosening the three nuts at the top of the strut. So just this evening I went to check the tightness of these three nuts. I went to tighten one a little further as I thought it was a tad loose. SNAP!! The f**king bolt/stud snapped off. See picture. What do I need to replace, the whole shock, or just the top mount.? I had this thread up on the 159 lounge, but as I hope to go ordering parts first thing in the morning, I moved it here aswell.

you will need to remove the entire shock, then compress the springs using a proper spring compressor set, then remove & replace the top mount. fitting is reverse

Thanks Red. The car is on the driveway, and obviously cant drive it to the garage, so I will have to get a garage with a recovery truck to collect it.

You should be. Ok to drive it as long as you take it really easy and avoid potholes/speedbumps etc.

Thanks, for that lads, I was just going to ask that question, whether it would be safe to drive a short distance or not.
