Cork meet aftermath

Thanks again as always to everyone who made the effort for coming along. It was a great day and we even got the weather too

That hairpin into Lismore got some action gotta love the GTA with no ASR on

Great to meet some new people and cars too. Eddie that 166 is mint love the interior, Frank the GTA is cleaner than clean epic. And John that Julie is hard to keep from the back bumper of the 156 looks great too in the mirror.

I really enjoyed it and it was a good meet and quick day too. Was home for 3.30 pm which was great. Burnt very little fuel too.

Thanks again and I'm sure the lads will have the pics up.

was good day alright..
Got back home just after 4pm with a stop off in Halfords for some bug spray, and the local Spar for beer & food.

Was starving by the time I got home (should have got sambos in Supervalu, but I thought we were getting something in Lismore )- got to see Pat's GTA in action passing out some idiots between Cahir and Tipp..

Pics are up https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/meets...-jul-11-a.html

Cheers Damien for today, my first Alfa meet and just happy the car behaved herself. Nice to meet the rest of you folks. Nice way to spend a few hours.

I love the offset front number plate.
Is yours standard height or lowered?
Looks lowered in the front on pic in the early post?

The car is lowered alright and you would know all about it on uneven road surfaces. It was lowered when I bought it but it sits very well and looks all the better for it. Last owner moved the number plate too but I like it so leaving it.

If it's not broken don't fix it!

I think mine has standard setting but uneven road surfaces 'unsettle' it a little....

Look again The FL 166 is indeed black, the other one isn't...

lol.. CH posting the pics out of order - there were 2 166s to start, then 1 left before The Vee.

Its a different beast from the 2 litre, you really feel that extra weight up front in the bends but in a straight line on the motorway, fun fun!! But its amazing the differences between the 2 litres, not all of them are the same handling wise in standard setting.

That will be 'nero vulcano'! Up close its a sort of plum colour. My car needs a good wash and polish, easier spot the difference then.

Great colour...
But its your interior I really liked
Pity I didn't get a pick of it - will have to get it in Adare.
