Irish Festival of Speed

Had a search and don't think this has been posted.

http://www.irishfestivalofspeed.com

Was in the Limerick Post this week.
Quote:
Adare Manor will host the first ever Irish Festival of Speed this August Bank holiday weekend (Sunday 31st July 2011) It will bring a “Goodwood” style, Festival of Speed (which is attended by over 100,000 people annually) to Ireland. In addition it will commemorate the rich racing heritage of the region, in particular the 75th anniversary of the 1936 Limerick Grand Prix
Lots of stuff planned for the Sunday

sent following email

Hi,

I read an article about your festival, later this year at Adare Manor, in the Limerick Post this week.

I notice you have a number of owner clubs who are attending.
I'm a member of the Alfa Romeo Owners club here in Ireland

Alfa Romeo has an extensive Racing/Speed history throughout the years, and our owners club represents Alfa Romeo owners of cars from the 1970s through to today's modern examples from across Ireland (as well as other countries).

So, just sending a quick email to inquire as to whether it would be possible to have a presence for Alfa Romeo owners at the event?
If so what is needed/required?

Any info greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Rik Dunphy.
Will let you know what happens.
Hope you don't mind Damien...

well they're interested in us...

Need to compile a list of cars right now
Need - username, model and year (particularly as some of you have many great examples )

Am still waiting for them to put up the proper form for the Owners Clubs. But may need to come back for a pic of the car, possibly history and a little bit about yourselves. Will let you know.

So please add your self to the list (will try and keep an eye on it) if you are interested. At this point I'm just compiling a list - so no commitment needed. I'll post when a commitment is needed - remember July 31st

I'd love to join this. I saw the cars pass through Limerick last year and it was incredible, some seriously rare and desirable machinery. If ye don't think it'd be out of place to come along in the Julie, count me in!

Come along - however for this purposes we're trying to showcase AR - so I think an AR for owner club section is 100% mandatory
Pop along though and say hi (hide the car maybe )

You're the second tractor of the lot

Good lot of cars so far - would be great to have a GT, some more older models, and some more V6s if possible
I'll leave this open until Sunday - and will reply to them on Monday about potential numbers...

Damien - you have a contact number of ARIreland? Was wondering if we should ask them along too

Should have been more clear, Julie is a Giulietta And it's a 1.6 JTDM2 so that's another "daysel" to add to the ranks.

I thought that perhaps because it's new, it would be out of place with what is essentially a celebration of older machinery.
