The green monster has arrived! woohoo!!

now then I am now the very proud owner of 1 dark metallic green 1.3l 33!!

it has the wrong wheels on no nct, runs very lumpy, needs the brakes looking at, has a blowing exhaust, worn shocks, and the interior needs a good clean.

to alot of non converted, scrap in other words, to me, utopia!

I'll get a few pics up later.

I prefer the twin carb version - don't like the round air filter housing.

I like this engine I like OCD too, as long as it's checked and re-checked.

Why is this engine layout not used more frequently? (not knowing much about it's characteristics).. it just seems like it's perfect for weight distribution etc..

Yeah unfortunatly

Really glad this one was saved.

I killed one off today... It bends in the middle when its jacked up and the whole front pulled away whout being cut
Nearly everything is being salvaged though so should help with the spares situation.

Propellorhead if you need any bits, let me know.

Its a fantastic engine, especially in a sud. I really love the alfa boxer (made one into a coffee table).

Thanks for all the comments lads, and thanks for the offer frank first on the list is a set of wheels as the ones on mine are odd sizes and not from an alfa. would anyone know what my wheel options are? I know the 145/146 would fit, but I'm not sure for the rest.
next is brakes and exhaust, and maybe suspension as the thing feels like its floating when you drive it.

Whats a colourtune though? I always used to balance the carbs with a bit of rubber pipe in my ear and the other end in the top of the carb!

your more than welcome to have a poke around aswell, just dont laugh and say i've bought a pup

I stuck a couple of pics up so you can see the extent of my plight nah its not that bad really.
only my ickle 1.3, it has rocker covers i've not seen before? its got some some squirt, first 1.3 I drove and its well fun (on private land as its not road legal....)

The color tune is like a see through spark plug that lets you see the colour of the spark when the engine is running. Lets you set the mixture on the carbs. Best done after the length of pipe trick.

The tappets on these are hydraulic so you cant pop the rocker covers off. (have to take the whole head off to access them).

My suspension was a bit floaty too. I went for justsud lowering springs and powerflex bushes. Made a big difference but still miss the floatyness sometimes. Brake are shocking but there are some good threads in the 33 section for upgrades.

Yours looks exactly like mine when I picked it up first
