Anbody used micksgarage.ie?

Just came across their site today as service is due on 156. Looks to be good value for pads, discs, filters etc although 69.99 for one spark plug is excessive! Much more expensive for wishbones compared to ebspares though...

Any recommendations or warnings?

Used them three times.

One 156 rear window regulator which was broken in transit. They replaced it no problem.

One Jeep Cherokee water pump. Wrong one. Had engine in bits so bought locally. Must return it and get refund.

One batch of car bulbs. All ok.

To be honest if you're friendly with your local motor factors and pay cash you'll do better.. IMO.

Cheers

used them a couple of times also mate, if you live close by you can pick stuff up direct on saturday mornings aswell which saves on the old shipping costs.

They are decent enough to deal with but are a bit more expensive than other places for more intricate bits. stuff like filters and pads are nt bad though

Great if you are in a hurry!

Am all for shopping local but motors factors near me couldn't give me a price for a set of plugs!

Rear pads/discs now have more noise than stopping power so definitely in a hurry!

A full set of plugs (8) for the TS engine can set you back over euro130!!

Or €300 from a dealer IIRC

One of the downsides of the TS engine

I think that was a price someone was quoted a while back anyway. They are definitely an online purchase if needed

I'd believe it. Main dealers markup and all...

EBspares charge £68 for set of 8! They could stick them in a taxi, get them a seat on Ryanair and taxi to my house for less than a stealer would charge! Madness.

I've used them once, bought a radiator for an Opel. Next day delivery, but the rad wasn't the exact same as original even though I ordered the correct part, and had to fiddle with it before mounting it.
