ebay Ireland 2011 Alfa Romeo Sales/Registrations

Just a thread to keep track of this year's numbers

January : 55 Alfas

No breakdown of the above unfortunately, but not bad so far considering there were only 9 last January

Pity there are only 4 Dealers now It doesn't exactly make it easy to buy a new Alfa

55 is not bad at all. I would expected a bit less than that. I did see a 2011 Giuletta the other day

I went onto the Alfa website and decided to price up a Mito were I to buy one, the final price came to something like €25000 but if I go to a Renault or even Toyota dealership I can get cars that are the next class up for a lot less (on scrappage), unles your into Alfas you wont be too tempted to buy one given the cost and lack of scrappage offers

55 is an excellent start to the year, be interesting to find out how many were genuine sales, & how many were just dealer demos!

I'd say the majority of that was Alasta there's a lot floating around there.

Is there any way of telling how many of the 2011 registrations are to ordinary customers as opposed to AR dealer regs. and competition giveaways etc.

I've been driving past tracta in blanch for years now and it always looked a bit threadbare car wise. Since the3 new year though, they are stuffed to the gunnels with new and second hand alfas. I went by there tonight even though I didnt have to just to have a look
They have a lovely '10 159 there, maybe they're gearing up for a sales drive or somthing?

55 new Alfas,

So, 8 of those are 'Real People' prize cars.
Newstalk have given away 2 as far as I know.
I think one of the papers has given one away also,

How many are Fiat Ireland employee cars, and how many are dealer registered?

Id guess that over 20 cars (poss even more than 30) are not actual sales at all.

Still though, it can only be a good thing to have them seen on the roads.

FM104 also have a bunch of Mitos - couldn't see if they were 2010 or 2011. Definitely seems to be a focus on "promotional" sales at the moment, which as previously mentioned is no bad thing given complete absence of any sort of local marketing in recent years.

April : 15 Alfas

Also looking at Jeep's ( 3 ) & Chrysler's ( 1 ) year to date numbers I don't think either will be much of an extra workload for Fiat Ireland in their new headquarters anytime soon.

I'd say Alfa will be pulling out of the Irish market and probably Fiat at this rate.

They are still doing a lot better than last year, not that that means much They also relocated to the Nass Rd from the Red Cow to new bigger premises in advance of them taking over Chrysler & Jeep.

I can't see either selling many, so far there have only been 3 Jeeps & 1 Chrysler sold this year and people though Alfa were having a bad year
