Newbie

Hi guys,

I only spotted the ROI forum recently Have been glued to the 156/147/GT tech forum the past few months.

Anyways after months of waiting Ive finally bought an '07 GT just last week and I'm picking it up in the next few days Have to say I'm pretty excited- I can barely sleep!

Looking forward to taking it for a spin at the weekend.

You should be seeing me on this forum a bit more often

All the best,
alfamj

Yep its a 1.8 TS blackline I hadn't seen too many blackline specs in the flesh before. But once I saw those teledial wheels- superb The interior is in really good shape, like new, and I was impressed with the test drive. Hadn't driven a GT before- only had driven a 156 and 159.

I'm pretty nervous about picking it up actually...

The GT Blacklines/Monzas are a great looking car with a great spec & great looking wheels congrats & welcome to the Irish Section

PS if it's not an import it's actually a Monza not a Blackline ( I know cartell/motorcheck & mywheels list them as Blacklines though but they are wrong ), the Blackline was a UK edition, the Monza is the Irish equivalent but with a greater choice of colours.

Hi David you are right it is an Irish Registered Car from new so its actually a Monza. My car is black hence why I'm calling it a blackline!

I'm pretty impressed with the spec, the bose stereo is pretty cool and the black leather / red stitching does look quite the business.

Hey MJ a belated welcome. Congrats on your new car... She won't disappoint. I've only ever driven a diesel GT but I love that cocoon feeling behind the wheel. It's a nice place to be in!

There was just a meet last weekend! Pity you just missed it. Keep en eye out for Damien_C who is the local AO mod. He organises these meets.

Best of luck with your car.. Looking forward to seeing Picts

Cheers
Cathal

Cheer Cathal... By the way very nice 159 you have there, and a 2.2 in the right colour at that. They are pretty rare. I hope she is serving you well

Thanks MJ she's saucy to run but hopefully she'll stay in the family for some time. A couple of issue to date but all known issues and covered under warranty. She'll be fine as long as I'm on time with the service intervals........ *touching a large piece of oak right now**

That was taken outside Avoca on the Healy Pass this time two years ago at our usually well attended first meet of the year, we were very lucky to have a rep from Alfa Ireland there with the then new MiTo as well
Here's a few links to some of our meets:

From last weekend

Killarney last year
