Someone killed my baby.........156

So I got a 159 and passed on my 156 to my brother-in-law who instantly fell in love with it.

Then on Saturday. It was parked in a line of cars and got hit by a truck that veered across the road while coming in the opposite direction.

I sobbed my heart out when i heard and saw these photos.

Car was facing the other way, parked, and got lifted and spun 180 in the air. Landed on the back passenger corner.

I know i had passed the car on, but im absolutely devastated.................

No he wasnt. Obviously thankful that no-one was in the car or coming down the road at the time as the van flipped too and skidded down the road on its side.

Just cant believe that it had a beemer parked in front and behind it and he managed to pick out the decent car to write off!!!!

The truck driver was probably jealous and rammed it off the road, main thing is everyone walked away - the cabin of the 156 still looks sound after such a big smash.

Where abouts did this happen?

Have you found out what caused the truck to swerve like that?

He apparently swerved to avoid a cyclist, but the witness says there was none. Doesn't really matter though as the car was parked so its very black and white.

Just gutted as it was in really good condition and there are not many like that around and now its gone.

Sad to see an Alfa smashed up like that, I'm sure you're gutted.

On the plus side (for other 156 drivers) the car seems to have stood up quite well from the point of view of cabin safety, considering the circumstances.

Glad you're ok Even though we're attached to our cars, at the end of the day they're only metal, and it can be replaced.

When did you get so sensible? Are you supposed to be irresponsible at your age?
