Wave 17" 147 sportivo wheel wanted

Hi Folks,

First of all I was blissfully unaware that an Irish section even existed on the forum until a few days ago... so a big hello to all the eNeighbors!

Secondly, I'm looking for one of the 17" alloys that was fitted as standard to the pre facelift 147 sportivo. One of mine has some damage and I'd like to replace it before I fit new tyres. Anyone know of a breaker with a suitable donor?

This isn't mine but same design

Edit: Hmmmm... maybe should have put this in the chat thread

I think these are also called "Selespeed alloys".

There's someone selling a set.

Cheap alloys, www.kingdomalloys.com for sale in Kerry: €150 - DoneDeal.ie

Also welcome here and hope to see you at a meet Next one is on the 22nd this month.

Welcome along Howlindawg hope you get what you're looking for. Pity you didn't realise we were here, we had a meet in Maynooth in the snow early last year.

I forgot what a good turnout that was as well!

I wouldn't challenge Dave on his knowledge of 147 stuff by the way

Have I corrected you before Gav ?

They are listed as " 17" Sport Alloys " in the brochure but as Rob said many people especially in the UK call them " Selespeed Alloys " as they were the standard alloys on the Selespeed over there AFAIK

I noticed there's an odd wear pattern on one of the tyres.
The rim looks fine but when you put a dial gauge on it it has lots of little flat spots on the inner rim.

A while back SWMBO got a puncture and didn't notice... drove for a while at motorway speeds with the flat, toasting the tyre... she only noticed when she went to change lanes
I'm guessing the damage happened at that stage but we didn't notice until the wear pattern appeared on the replacement Eagle F1.

Repair might be possible, but a replacement means no down time while the wheel is refurbed.
I'll check with the boys in Bray.
