My boot is stuck!

Morning all,

after escaping a near robbery from a garage, my lil beauty has fallen foul of..................IKEA! went last night with my friends, did our bits and bobs, and loaded the boot to capacity. Drove home and went to get the stuff out of the boot and low and behold, it wont open!!!!! button on the dash wont do it and neither does the key fob. i think something maybe jammed in the door but had a quick look last night and couldnt see anything

any suggestions?

thanks all

Garage
There should be a little wheel to turn on the inside of the lock

See here for more info Owner Handbook Alfa 190 - 147 English page 133/134, I think it's the same on the 1st generation 147.

"Stupid Italian car" 'eh? So I assume they're are not friends anymore.. right?

Next time, explain that an Italian car has this safety feature on the boot, it's to stop 'friends' falling out when the car is moving.... capish?

.......e non mancare di rispetto la mia macchina di nuovo!!

The electrical cable may be disconected

I dunno whre it is on the 147 but on the 156 it is about 80mm in from where it enters the body of the car.

Thanks for that Dermo,

had a look at it, but i think ill prob bring it to a mechanic! It does look an easy enought task to fix, but its finding the time to do it is the problem! The next weekend I have free is the 11th of December and cant live without access to the boot for that long!

thanks for all your help much appreciated!

No Problem we are here to help (and hinder sometimes)

It really isn't that difficult but there are 2 screws hidden in the plastic panel where the hand grabs are , most people forget to look in there . But a mechanic should know about these (!)

just stay away from ikea !

its not too bad. the garage said the motor part is fine its just some electrical part, so they estimate between 100 and 120, inc part, fitting and tax.

not too bad!
