Thinking of selling my 156.

I just posted this in the 156 technical section by mistake. I'll post it here aswell.

Just testing the water here lads. I have fallen in love with a V6 and am thinking of selling the 1.8.

It's black with tan leather, 102,000 on the clock. I have receipts from TI for nearly 700 euro for work done since i have bought it.

It was serviced last week with new rear track control arms, thermostat and crank sensor put in.

Just recently out a set of lovely 18" wheels on it. I have lowering springs that i would be willing to fit if the buyer wants. I'll post some pics tomorow after i clean her.

Belt and plugs done recently as well (96,000).

I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures, the black and tan sounds like a nice combination. Good luck with the sale.

I stil havn't rang for a quote. Should be interesting at the tender age of 24. I have 7 years no claims bonus though so fingers crossed.

Theres a lot of ifs, buts and maybe's though. I need to get mine sold before i could think of it.

Good pics definately use the first one as the lead pic so it is shown in the search results
Also maybe put in some pics of the left had side and take that pic of the dash but with the steering wheel straight, I know its only a small thing but it just looks a bit funny.

Best of luck with the sale and you'll be in that V6 before you know it.

Cheers man. It's up on donedeal now. I'll take another one of the dash later.

I have it up for 2,500 i bought it for less but with the wheels , suspension and the amount i have spent on it i am loosing a bomb. I'm open to offers of course and would do a bit of a deal for guys on here.

I've dropped the price to 2,150 due to a complete lack of phone calls. If it won't sell at that price i am keeping it. There is no way i could let it go cheaper and finance a new motor. People seem to want cars nearly free these days.

Yeah man. I have. I had a guy come up to me the other day. He seemed very interested but never heard a peep out of him. I have the itch for a V6 and i think i have found a black and tan one for good money so it's taking the sting out of selling this one if i can get the same colour combo.

I really hate that blinkered attitude! I sold a "reliable" toyota to get back into an alfa. I thought it best after 3 gearboxes in two years motoring!
Not a bit of bother with me 147 apart from when the, ahem, noisy variator and "better safe than sorry" timing belt change were done.
Good luck with the sale bat, shame I would have had a look at that, looks sweet.

Yeah it's a pain alright but unfortunately it's part and parcell of driving an Alfa. People always have something to say about reliability.
