Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Not a good day, my wife clipped a drain on the edge of the road and I think the alloy is a write off, major dint in the outside between the spokes and has two cracks as well as this I now have major toe out and on checking the track control arm is bent. Does anyone know can I remove the offending arm without removing the whole rack?? Is there anything else likely to be bent? Luckily for me I have plenty of spares, except for the alloy and Killarney is this weekend... looks like 16" again

Garage
No good news Kikih & I'd guess not an easy alloy to replace ( might be worth sending Autolusso/Pud a PM to see if they've got one ) but it could be a lot worse.

Worth posting in the 166 Tech Lounge regarding your questions though

If you want man I can try and make it down to ya on friday and collect the wheel my buddy welds wheels for a tyre place he can have a look at it if you like? I don't think you can change the track rod on alfas so it maybe a rack but not 100% sure but as you say you have spares and I think you can take one off etc. I'll ring Dave tomorrow and ask him for ya.

I went down to the lad who straightened my wheels in Kilmallock yesterday, he re-tracked the car and showed me that there is now an extra degree of camber on the side that got the bang so there is something else bent. he also had a look at the wheel and told me he had a lad that comes in to weld cracks in rims and he would get him to have a look at it, he thinks its repairable. Fingers crossed!
