100 yrs of Alfa site, Alfa Ireland...

... i don't wish to bash Alfa Ireland's efforts here but holy cow how badly put together is the site!! Has anyone seen the pictures used to capture the cars that have made Alfa over the 100 years??? I was expecting high quality beautiful images, what i saw were awful poorly thought of pictures that look as if they've been enlarged by someone who didn't know what they were doing or couldn't afford to get it right!

Jesus Alfa Ireland, pull your finger out, you own thousands of images, it can't be that hard to get good quality ones! Plus the images used for the 147 & 156 are th facelifted cars, not the truly gorgeous originals!!!!

Also, how come the "register your interest" part of the Giulietta profile STILL doesn't work - Alfa is anyone home......

....as i said i won't bash Alfa Ireland, just thought i'd air my thoughts!

146, 147, 156, 164, 166, GTV - This is becoming a bit obsessive!

"The 100 years of Alfa" is not Alfa Ireland's effort, the site update is generic across the different regions

They could do with fixing the register your interest bit though.

just on the new 166, it is confirmed to be RWD!

Getting back to the 100 years effort, whilst its true, the whole thing is basically taken from alfaromeo.com, surely someone on the irish site could have put some effort in??

Isn't the new 166 to be called the 169?

it was originally to be called 169, would have thought that was scrapped now in favour of a "name"?

funny you should mention Maserati's Quattroporte as before Fiat's tie up with Chrysler the next 166 was due to be based on a shortened version of the Quattroporte's platform (albeit revised for cost reasons), not sure where that stands now though! I think that image probably doesn't hold much water, grill looks very old school 147 to me!

According to that the Giulia is the replacement to the 159 though is it not...

An SUV as well in 2012?!?!?

There's no mention of a 166 replacment in the offical presentation David linked to above. Anything you see on other webistes if just wishful thinking.

You are correct, the Giulia will be Alfa's biggest car/sedan. No plans to produce a 166 replacement in the 5year plan. I should have said it was the 159 replacement not the 166 replacement

Spot on, though I'm sure some other blog/website will start another article shortly based on more concept drawings
