Bye Bye Bella...

Well thought it was time for a change so sold the 156. Bought a 2006 Golf GTi 200 bhp privately for 11.5k. Miss the alfa a lot but the power of the GTi is fantastic. I still maintain though that the interior of the 156 is one of the nicest interiors I ever sat in.

Looked at a few 159s but all of them here are the 1.8 petrols and I just wanted something a bit quicker.

The good news though is that the girlfriend bought the Alfa from me as her first car and lessons start tomorrow! I could see myself looking at the Giulietta in 3 or so years if there is a few non bog standard spec ones available used. What is it with us and buying the most basic least powerful car out there!

I'd have been shot if I sold it to anybody else! It's getting a new timing belt as I write this!

Thanks for the good lucks with the golf... It's a fine motor all the same...

Black, The alfa was just too slow at this stage. Driving it after driving the golf would nearly make you cry. I probably should have held out for a bigger engine in it day one.

What interior did you get?

It's the the standard interior, it's pretty basic spec but it's still nicely done. I know what you say about the diesel feel I agree 100%. It takes some getting used to and you find the end of the rev range quickly. The advantage then I'd that it's very useable power.

Ohh god ya it's epicly torquey and no need to ring the hell outta the gearbox like the Alfa to get it to move but they are nice and quick bit hard on the road but nice.
