Welcome back Rik, definately would have been interested to see the battle of the diseasels. Rik did you mention you had yours remapped or was that someone else with a 159 from around your neck of the woods?

CCOVICH got about 70 - 80 foot pounds of torque increase and about 20 bhp as far as I know, from a remap done here, got a great RR readout from the guy as well!

BHP was only +15...., but the torque figures are correct.

I may go looking for more!

Going to the UK would end up costing serious cash when travel is factored in.

There is a guy on here or on Boards who had his 159 JTDm remapped over here.

I would nearly give Couture Auto a go the next time.

To be honest there are some great mappers over here. No real need to go to the UK just for a map.

If you going on holidays and leaving the car behind Gus at alfa tuner near Liverpool can do remaps if ya send the ECU over. I'd imagine you'd prefer though to have it on a rolling road before and after. Always heard good things about him. Not into the tuning world enough to advise ya though who to go to in Ireland. The place Gus recommended was Chipped Ireland - Homepage in dublin. I have no experience of them though.

Rik welcome To AO

Ya I know I sold the Child ! Madness just gets worse at my time of life . Just heard that my car was parked in a car park today and left by itself I have decided to travel to kerry and take it back. My poor car in a car park it didnt know what to do watching all those other cars parking next to it . !

As ccovich (Ciaran) say the guys he recommended are good guys to remap and know what they are on about .

They'll despise you more now that you're driving a 156 Ti, anyway no town in Kerry is very far from a bog or mountain!

I hope you got him to sign a "I will keep the car garaged at night and always stay away from bogs" contract, but mountains are ok, we like them especially the ones in Kerry.

IT WAS IN THE small PRINT
He had the cheek of parking my car in a car park and he left it alone

You only have yourself to blame, you should have had him checked out, surely seeing him arriving in Massey Ferguson overall's would have given you a hint, the next step will be the fitting of a Towbar
