RR day and Meet aftermath

Have to firstly thank you to everyone that was there at 9 am I am very sorry for being late but the roads and weather and loais killed a load of time for us and hence we where late.

Also I would like to say thank's to all the people that made the effort for coming out in challenging weather conditions and the freezing cold. If it wasn't for ye all coming out and making the effort there wouldn't be any of the above happening.

I would also like to thank Nick at CDA for the use of his RR and putting up with the abuse I was giving him all in jest. I think some people were completely surprised by their power outputs and curves they got. Especiall the 33 What a car and sound.

And the big power cars where the diesels and bart's 195bhp 2.5 V6 166

And thanks to Ciaran for booking the great chinese and picking a good quiet bar to have a few drinks beforehand and a chat. Also thanks to Gav and Jeanette for coming out too and to Frank for being early on the sat morning and being freezing.

I also would like to add thanks to the regulars that turned up, Gerry, Gav and Frank, Klap.
And to the new faces, Mark, Barthez, Marek, Ciaran.

And thanks to everyone that turned up today aswell especially with the mental snow lol and slippy roads. Donadea was a pretty spot I have to say. And Frank what a car you have there and that sound Immense is all I can say.

I assume pics are on the way too Great meet and weekend it will be done again.

+1 to all dat.

Good job on the planning/organising/coordinating Damien

Hopefully I will have the 155 presentable for the next meet. Then ye all will have to manage without the glorious tones of the JTD.

No bother at all Ciaran, thank you for taking the lead and bringing us on some great roads and to Donadea. Ahh the organising is easy. It's all about the people who came along and made it their own. That JTD is rapid I have to say.

It looked like a good day, sorry I did'nt make it but I made the decision this morning not to go after looking at the ice outside, I have a 20 mile crosscountry run to Mitchelstown before hitting the Motorway and I didnt want to put the Alfa in a ditch, the AA roadwatch were also warning of dangerous conditions on the N8 around Durrow. I'll be there for the next one.

Hi!
Agree 100% with all the above! Was happy to meet Alfa enthusiasts from the area as well as some charismatic "Corkonians". I promise to get my 156 2.0 TS Selespeed next time too for anyone who wants to try and have their say.

No bother at all Kieran. We didn't find any ice on the way up or down thankfully. But it was a bad day so don't worry about it at all.

Ciaran that is some mental looking thing. Same can be said for your links Gav lol.

No bother Hammz145. I'm glad someone will have some use for them rather than them sitting in my shed for the past two years. They will suit your car down to the ground especially the colour you are going to paint the car.

Damien & Dermo good to met you at the meet, compliments on both your Alfas . Damien seriously impressed with the ride set-up and paint job on your 146, your former teledial alloys are washed and polished already!! Dermo hope you get the 159 2.2JTS your looking, will bring mine to the next meet, the 166 Series 2 we discussed is in South Dublin Alfa in Clonskeagh. A most enjoyable few hours this afternoon, in good company discussing Alfas and motors in general, will keep you uptodate on the "young bucks" 145 restoration project. Thanks Gav for photos.

You should start up a progress thread in the images section, it can be very handy for getting advice and it is a good way of keeping a historical record of the work done.

Great to have met you both.

Gav
