Rolling Road Day Results 20 Feb 2010

1.9 GT JTD (Remapped)
165 Flywheel HP
273.8lb flywheel torque (371nm)
136 wheel HP

So according to Autoremap.com (the guy who did my remap) I should be getting

180bhp and 360nm of torque.

So looks like I got too much torque. A bit odd-I don't feel that I have that much power lower down. And I guess that the 180bhp claim assumes I started out with what the factory settings were (150bhp)

Major blowing from exhaust though, getting worse than i drove to naas. Think the flexi is in pieces.

Yep the 1.7 16v. Was very surprised given that it still needs fettling. I think the 1.7 8v had 115/119bhp

Are the smoke plumes above caused by the test? Does it push the limit (i.e. too far)??

Out of interest what happens after - if you're down bhp do they offer a remap to "restore" or is it just for info?

Good to hear she's still pulling well. 343lbft would pull a house down!

Well he explained that once you push a diesel 30 hp above standard it will result in alot more black smoke.
It was just for info yesterday, but he did offer to retune mine for a better power delivery for a price!

Bout to go examine my exhaust, refusing to drive well > 180km/hr. Mondello is just down the road afterall. Drives fine up to then but severe lack of power then up top, sounds like no silencers on so expecting a truely bust flexi.

Did he mention a price? I wouldn't mind getting mine tuned again if it results on better delivery lower down.

I think they where quoting about 3-400 euro for a full remap and before and after dyno results.

I got 101fwhp with 82whp but compared to the last time the engine map is much smoother now compared to the last time.
