suggested brake pads?

Hi lads,

The "insufficient brake fluid" light is constantly on for the last 2 weeks but the reservoir has plenty of juice and the other day there was a rubbing/grinding sound coming from somewhere when I pressed the brakes so I think its the pads, any reccommendations?
Remember I'm not driving it around Mondello or anything, just standard pads is all I need. I dont have my owners manual at home so cant look it up and wanted to do it tomorrow

Yep sounds like the wear sensor on the pads. If you just want standard pads local factors may be your man. I just put ferodo pads in mine (similar spec to ds2500) and Id highly recommend them if you find the brakes a little lacking.

Ferodo Standard pads are great I have em on the 146. They wear kinda quickly but I would be hard on pads if I am honest.

I have no idea, does that help?

I have looked at getting replacement ones for mine in Halfords, they have them on their list, but it is always in such a mess that I am never bothered looking for them.

Are pads hard to do?

Pads aren't the hardest to be honest but I wouldn't bother with em cos if a garage does em and they fail you sue the garage. You do em and they fail you emm don't sue yourself.

not hard to do with its worth checking to see if you have/need a 7mm allen key to remove the guide pins on the floating callipers. I had to go looking for one an a saturday evening when i was in the middle of doing the calipers on the 33. needed it again for the pads on the seat and my brother needs one for doint the pads on a 530. its a complete pita if you dont have one but need it.

The only thing is I presume to find out which ends are required it means all wheels will have to come off? Or is their an easier way?

I say start at the front. Rears dont usually go as quickly. You could also try disconnecting the sensoe wire from the pad and see if the warning light goes out.
