a really sad day

sorry guys had to sell my beloved 156 ts due to insufficent funds as the banks would say really heartbroken to sell her but she is gone to another alfa lover in laois
never had any major probs with car in over a year , put a new maf and therm into her in march and oil change etc but was running well
Sold her last sat and had tears in my eyes , car was best i have ever had . Texted the new owner on Tuesday to ask if he would consider selling my baby back to me as i felt i had just sold my children to pay the esb bill
But too late and he is respraying the car etc parts bought etc etc , then tuesday evening the new owner calls to say car wont start and that the ecu is fryed and he will have to get a replacement , how weird ... i think my car killed itself through separation anxiety .

As soon as i can afford one would like to get a gtv

So i am alfaless at moment and really miserable , never thought i would feel this way about a car but alfas are infectious

A fried ECU, ouch, expensive. How did that happen I wonder? Would love a 3.0l GTV myself but Mr Cowen wont let me. At least for another 20 years!

I know how you feel blacksmith, I was gutted after selling my 156 after 8yrs of hassle free ownership.

I met the guy a few weeks later and asked how the car was and he said it had trouble starting on a few occasions and had to get something replaced (can't remember now for the life of me) but when I saw the car I felt like taking him to one side and giving him a good kicking...it was a disgrace

I'd say someone tried to jump the car badly and it went bang.

Sorry to hear that Blacksmith. There are plenty of nice Alfa's out there when you feel you can have one again

Sorry to hear that.

I dread to think of my humor if I ever have to rid rid of mine.
