EB Spares costs

Hi Lads,

Anybody ever order stuff from eb spares? I just got a quote from them for a clutch slave cylinder for £27.50 which is grand but postage to Ireland is £17. Is that not a bit expensive for postage???

Yes that's a bit steep. I've found them excellent but for small ones offs like that Jamie Porter is cheaper with postage on The Alfa Workshop, independent specialist Alfa Romeo garage and web resource

I'd second that. Ive bought a few bits and bobs off Donoghues and found them to be top notch.

Used EB Spares a number of times and found them to be A1. Unfortunately reckon I'll be using them a lot in the near future as well.......

Think postage is almost a set price, so ya, a one off will cost a lot for p&p. On the other hand ya save some amount when buying something in bulk compared to irish prices generally (unfortunatley!)

All I can say is try Donoghues first as parts here are cheaper then they were last year and the great thing is if the parts are here there is no waiting 3 days and with genuine parts they will always fit and work as I have seen some of the ebay suspension parts fitted to cars and the quality was that bad I have refused to let the cars back on the road for the customers safety....

Alfa Spider 4

if you can find the parts in Eire at the right prices, then go for it.

If not however, EB is first class, and has been since I first used them in the 70's (how many people do you know are still there keeping our cars on the road after nearly 40 years! Phenomenal!)
