I found grandons grand (but others have had problems)...Lee garage seem fine too. Some jobs any mechanic can do just make sure you have it clear with them before hand what they're doing!

Depends on the work alright, I found Grandons fine to be honest (actually better than The Sweep!!). Lee have also been good with anything ever haded to them. Very fair there actually and will go through everything clearly with you, used to know a mechanic ther but he has left now.

I'll ask my evil twin Darly will I Demian?

Ya, too be honest, wasnt impressed at all with The Sweep (the opposite tbh). They hardly knew what a JTS was, still thought it was a diesel despite me blabbering on about the differences with the TS, couldnt sort out a spare car and transfer insurance properly despite been given 2 weeks notice and my dad and myself having fully comp, ended up with me flipping and they gave him a 97 punto (***** that). They left a noise from starter motor which I had mentioned (nothing charged mind you, but nothing done), they wouldnt fit the CDA as wasnt an OEM part, they werent sure in the end if they could manage the work within a 2 day period as the mechanic had never worked on a JTS. Not going there again.

That's mad never heard that now ever. They fitted everything to my car not a bother. Always sorted us with a car and bent over backwards. And they have to know what a JTS is, they work on my Dad's car the whole time.

Think they have let go a few staff and mechanics on part time. I may have gone the wrong time but I wont be back to test it out. Never any problems myself from Grandons, in fact (think he was Polish) one mechanic was very helpful there, offered to diagnose for free a fault I had ages back whenever I wanted and just drive round the back and wait till he was free.

They haven't let anyone go don't know where ya heard that from. And Eamon is the number 1 Fiat/Alfa mech in Ireland.

Grandons are shams they broke every car we ever had.

Just have a look at what Grrrrrrrandons did on my previous 147! This is fact not fiction ... I did 12k miles on their courteousy cars all in the space of 12 months ! The sweep have never ever let me down . They have always done every job on my car , when Damien had a Punto ages ago I brought it to them and they did a service and checked the car from top to bottom and guess what never charged !! I have never came across that kind of a service from a main dealer ,and to be honest I'm driving longer than you are on this earth. You are the only one that has had a problem with them but then again every one to their own..They have serviced my cars since 2002 both TS and JTS...

I'm only going by my own experience. The guy literally said to me, "What's a JTS?", and thats after he knew it was an alfa 156. Sounded elderly enough and it was him (dont have his name) that said a couple of them were on part time. What main dealer gives someone a 97 punto?

errm is the car under warrenty if so then I appreciate your problem .. but if not you are not entitled to a car ... GRRRRRRRandons charge for courteosy cars iirc... That Ol' guy you are referring to is called Packie , the owner and retired for a number of years ... You are right instead of laying people off Packie put them on alternate working pattern. The guy called Eamonn has been working there for 30 odd year's . Fiat/Alfa test their top mechanics every year (can't remember what it's called ) but Eamonn has come 2nd or 3rd every year for the past number of years ... I have not come across a better mechanic ( except for redx19!!) but enough said we agree to differ ... I know where my car will go anyways ...

I had booked in for a courtesy car (pay for one!). I aint exactly making up stories Dermot and I know most have been happy out with them which is somehting rare for a dealership, I'm going by my single experience of having gone to both garages. But I'm hardly not going to go to Grandons when I got on fine there and it is a lot less hassle compared to not being happy and travelling (my dad) all the way to The Sweep.

Grandons gave me a courtesy car no charge. 08 grande punto. That polish guy was good too I found. Took it for a run and gave his opinion no charge.
