All Ireland Italian gathering 2009

The Northern Ireland Italian Motor Club is pleased to announce that we are running the “All Ireland Italian gathering” for 2009..
And we are even more pleased to announce that we have again secured Cultra Folk and transport museum to host the event. Last time we ran the event there we had over 90 vehicles attend. We hope to have an even greater response this time around.
The date for the event is Saturday August 29th and it is being in the grounds of the transport museum down near the boat. There will be an entrance fee of £5 (which goes to the Museum not NIIMC). The £5 entry will entitle entrance to the event and entrance for 2 people to both the transport museum and the Folk museum. Not bad considering normal entry to the transport museum is normally £8.
The event is open to ‘anything’ Italian, new or old, or has an Italian connection. “We have no restrictions on age”.
Gates open at 10 am and vehicles will be directed were to park. When parking all we ask is that vehicle drivers park were asked and please note as this is a static event once parked up you will be there until you decide to leave.

If you would like to come as another type of vehicle club please contact me at [email protected] and I will arrange this.

Also if you hope to attend please post on this thread as it gives us an idea of what space we will need to lay out.

Hope you can attend and look forward to a good turnout.

Stuart, Chairman.

Can you give exact location other than#
"in the grounds of the transport museum down near the boat"
Is that Belfast????

For a bigger turnout it might be a good idea to contact The Irish Times as every Wednesday they have a motoring supplement, I'm sure they would advertise it. Micheal McAleer is the editor.

Guys good to see most of you up for this, it's Cultra Folk and transport museum. It's in Cultra, outside Holywood, bangor side of Belfast. The event at Cultra will be sign posted.

Some wee scrote danced on my roof at the weekend (while my car was on axle stands due to a burst sump ) so if I get my roof fixed I will be there. It's not too bad now, just three wee annoying dents where it meets the windscreen, I'll get pics tomorrow.

As far as clean cars go.... game on

Convoy can be done. But I doubt you'd want to cross the boarder and then go back over again lol Just for a convoy

Unlikely (very unlikely) I'll make anything in August. Good road the whole way now though for us Corkonians.. even if it is a bit boring. Better than getting stuck behind someone though.
