Next Alfa meet.

Right lads I said I'd start this one early. Mid April I am thinking of having it. And this time in Galway. As RLaffey here was telling there was some great roads out that way. And I for one have never been there.

What do ye all think??

Damien.

Re: Next Alfa meet.

Good Men Dave's it won't be paddies weekend too many fools out that time and traffic would be mental I'd say. So Mid April as I need to rob a weekend off work.

Re: Next Alfa meet.

lads, was there anything going on with an alfa meet today up in Dublin?

I drove to Cork this morning about 12 from Naas and I passed a lot of alfisti on the way up the road...counted at least 10 different alfas on the road. Normally I'd be lucky to see 1

Re: Next Alfa meet.

No bother man you're more than welcome! The most expensive part of this conversion is gonna be the exhaust. Looking forward to that bill have to say i dont know how it managed to make it back from cork in one piece (apart from the little hiccup) considering the abuse it took all day sunday

Think we will need another over night stay as that had to be the best bit of the last meet as if we crewcat drunk again (dont think it will be too hard) we can all have champagne

Re: Next Alfa meet.

I have a BAD feeling about this one.......and it looks like the decisions are made already

Seiously though, if we can get some dates nailed down I'll see what's available and look at a route.

Re: Next Alfa meet.

galway sounds fine i have a brother up there and lived tyhere for a year a while back (not driving at the time)and ive driven a round conneamara a few times some nice roads up there but some really really bad ones to and by bad i mean sump breakingly bad

be warned ye of the lowered suspension

just make sure there is no horse racing or major arts festivel going on with the dates that are chosen. galway gets flooded with sightseers on weekends and traffic can be murderous even in the middle of nowhere especially when some idiot tries to do a three point turn while towing a large horse box i know this from experience

ps i want to see the x1/9

As you know the first one was bust up pretty good. Still havent sent out a replacement. Hoping to have it done in time for Galway. Along with aluminium sump guard back on... and GTA'd lights.

Re: Next Alfa meet.

Lads I wish I never brought that champagne, it seemed a good idea at the time now you all think bad of me. Staying dry on the next meet. Galway would be sound. Heading to the uk car shopping next week, hope dave has time to do a bit of work for me, by the way lads as you can tell a bit embaresed about the champagne thing.
