Weather in Ennis/Limerick area

Gotta drive down the N7 tomorrow from Naas to Ennis. I was just wondering what the weather situation is like on the route if anyone knows?

Snow is very bad here in Naas for the last 2 days but out on the M7 today, the roads were good. I normally drive down the N7 as far as Birdhill and then cut across country to Ennis. Its a fairly narrow road with lots of bends so if its any way slippy down there, I'd stick to main route via Limerick.

it's not too bad at the moment - we had snow this morning, but went by afternoon.
very cold out now - am guessing it'll be slippy off the main roads in the morning.

Sticking to the main roads in most areas seems to be the main plan, im not taking my side roads back home any more. Dead boring but I'd prefer to be bored than having an insurance claim on going with no Alfa.

6 hours to travel from Leopardstown to Maynooth (20 miles) on Monday night-is that some sort of record?

Pretty much the same as what my girlfriend had to go through getting to Maynooth last night as well, she was coming from Stillorgan. It wasnt much better later on either, her neighbor left Ballsbridge at 10pm and got home at 1.30.

It was bad enough for me, my 45 minute trip took 1hr 15 mins.... ok, not quite as bad. Tis horrible just being stuck there like a useless pr**k! Listening and swapping between radio stations. Got stuck on M50 near dundrum once due to a crash, just turned back and drove along the hard shoulder till the nearest turn off, plenty followed so gardai did nothing.

Ha!

The thought of abandoning the GT along the M50 didn't cross my mind for a second.

Re: Weather in Ennis/Limerick area

just back in about an hour....no problems, roads were fine.

Had a duel with a pimply twit in a Ford Ka of all cars....tried to force me into the hard shoulder and then put the boot down every time he tried to pass me....

let him off then coming into Mountrath...I wasn't risking another 2 points
