Hmmm Side lightrs need replacing ...

Any ideas where I can get side lights (right and left) replaced. Usually go to Donohue's in Kylemore (Dublin) but looking for somewhere else, anything in Limerick??

Do it yourself on the drive for a fraction of the price. Each side takes about 10 minutes, 15 on the first go.

I replaced the headlights myself a while back but looking in the manual and on here I thought the side lights would be trickier. Plus after doing the headlights I should get them aligned yes?
I'm not mechanically inclined so I don't want to mess anything up.

Oh, it's bulbs need replacing, ta.

The bulbs are tricky enough but doable. If you search the 147 lounge you will find more info. There is nothing 'mechanical' to it-if there was I would never have been able to do it-it does require a little patience and dexterity though. I have a pic of the fitting at home that I can post up later that may help.

Otherwise stop by Maynooth next time you are around Dublin and I'll do it for free-there's a recession on ya know!

Or.......Halfords offer a fitting service, but I'm pretty sure they would struggle with the 147.

Re: Side lightrs need replacing ...

definitely give it a go yourself - they can be tricky, just take your time.
Once you've done it you'll wonder why you ever paid anyone to do it.

If you come down to Killarney with us, am sure someone will do it for u - shucks, might even volunteer myself if u'r anywhere around raheen although I've never done bulbs on a 147...

An inspection mirror on a stick ... or even a make-up mirror makes it so much easier to see what you're doing in there.
