Hi everyone,
Haven't been on this in a long time!!I've been out of the alfa scene for the last few years but now I'm looking for a project..my avatar is the 156 I used drive until I decided to go to the dark side of jap imports and more recently fast Ford's.the good/strange thing is I could never get rid of it...i recently decided after being parked up for nearly 5 years to begin stripping it,took off the zender kit, spoiler and removed the momo leather interior..I would really like to do one up similar again, but this time with a 2.5 v6..I'm just wondering is there any parked up out there that are taking up space or just in the way, preferably with a healthy engine and fairly rust free..nct not important.I don't want to spend China on something that's perfect,as I say I want a project for myself so if anyone here knows of any lying around could ye point me in its direction.
Thanks

Hi everyone,
As my above post said I was looking for a 2.5 v6 156 but since then things have changed,I sold my focus RS since, tomorrow I'm going looking at a 156 GTA..its a bit of a unicorn but it needs work (timing belt, tires, faded paint etc)as it is an unsold dealers car with only 748 miles on the clock because it has been in storage for almost 15 years!!!is there anything else to look out for?

I guess that's the red (unregistered ?) GTA that has been mentioned on here previously over the years ? Good luck with it if you purchase

Would radiator hoses etc & possibly suspension bushes also need to be replaced due to their age & lack of use ?

Yeah I was thinking the same about the hoses and bushes, hopefully if it has genuinely been in good storage they shouldn't be bad!!he says all fluids are still like new and it has been recently started so mightn't be too bad.I'll have a look anyway and see.

If ye are around the next time we have an AO meet at the Vee it'd be nice to see some V6s there again.

Will do. I've been trying to get to one of these for about three years but the car was never ready.

Lovely looking car! Thought I recognised the Vee alright, I'm near Fermoy so it's not all that far.

Speak of meet ups, is there any that happen pre-Christmas?
