Civic for 156?

Hi guys, living in cork and am seriously thinking of trading my 00 1.4 civic for a 2001/2 156 2.0l ts. Is there anyone in the area that I could get to have a look at the 156? I gather its kind of specialized.

Re: Civic for 156?

Did you try here for a selection of 156s.
I don't know of any Alfa independant specialists in Cork but there are 3 Alfa approved service agents:
Grandons in Glanmire,
Lee Garage South Terace in the city,
Oldchapel Fiat in Bandon

*,*Dealer:*Grandon*Car*Sales - Used*Cars on Carzone.ie - New & Used Cars in Ireland

Also make sure the timing belt has been done every 36,000 miles or 3 years which ever comes first. The old service book says 72,000 miles or 5 years but Alfa have since revised this.

Alternatively-buy a 156 in Dublin and have Gerry Campbell check it out-a true independent but an Alfa specialist.

Best of luck-the Alfa has so much soul compared to the Civic.

Most important thing of all is the oil, belts you can change, having run dry of oil then it can come back to haunt you even if no damage as yet. Check oil, belts (36k miles), any noises in suspension both front and back. Airbag light is common to have on. When taking for a test drive make sure she revs cleanly up to 7K, any hassles can be a new MAF required.
