F1 autocentres

I aint using these goons ever again, bumbling idiots does not sum it up.

Daughters car has a slow puncture, knowing that they are slow at the best of times, I took them the wheel so I did not have to wait with the intention of collecting later, they were to phone as soon as it was fixed. Having left it 4 hours and no call, I called them, the chap goes we have only just looked at it, side wall damage, need a new one. Great, been there 4 hours and have only just dipped it in water. So I go down there with spare tyre to be replace the punctured one, can they do it then? no, wanted me to wait behind a queue of exhausts/tyres etc which would have look at least another hour. 'We do not prioritize puncture repairs' if only he told me that at 11am.

So in four and a half hours all they did was dip it in water, fu**1ng useless [email protected] Took it to a little one man band place on the way home and he swapped it in 10 mins.

The only reason I took it to them was because they fitted it and I thought there was a chance they cocked it up then, I still see no sign of a puncture so cannot even trust their diagnosos as accurate.

So bad luck F1, about the only bit of my cars I do not do myself is fit the tyres and with 3 Alfas and a Bravo on my drive that is 16 expensive tyres you will never see any on your [email protected] premises again, and I hope the credit crunch puts you bunch of losers on the dole.

A timely reminder of why I DIY my cars.

To55ers.

I know what you mean Ralf, I used to run ATS centre's and recruiting staff who had any sign of a brain or common sense was a problem.
The problem is a lot of them think of themselve's as mechanic's and haven't had any real formal training, they may do a City & Guild's module course in brake's or tyre's, but it's a 5 day course and what experience can that give you.
Quite often i would end up doing job's on car's because the technitian was out of his depth.

Every time i see an Alfa Romeo, i raise my hat.
