Madness Just a Thank You to City Link

Just a quick thankyou to the Pr*ck in the City Link Van the other night on Burton Road, heading from Lincoln to Scampton. The clever di*k in the van not only tried wiping me, my mother who was driving and my younger 16 year old brother on the way to check out a new college for my brother, but also took out an escort van and a Mk2 Golf! Nearly head on with us and then just pulled in on the golf and the van, spun the van in to the hedge, and then cleared off.

Luckily no one was hurt and not major damage on the cars and van involved, but the pr*ck didnt even stop, which i believe is illegal!
The guy whose van it was who ended up off the road was going to call city link, i offered mine and my mothers details as a witness but havent heard anything yet.

So to City Link, Sack the arse**le

Re: Just a Thank You to City Link

Easy for me to say sitting behind my computer screen, but always try to get a reg. no.

Hopefully Citylink will be able to trace the driver although being a Sunday, he may not have been on the firm's business?

I don;t think it matters, the van should be gps monitored so they'll know which van was where and when.

Citylink driver = :loser:

I always find if you try and make a word out of a reg it makes it easier to remember.

Re: Just a Thank You to City Link

I had a run in with a CityLInk van once, nothing happened despite me reporting it to the depot manager, agency driver, so they could not be bothered persuing it

No paint exchanged thanks to my superior brakes, so I gave up on it.

Re: Just a Thank You to City Link

I had a problem a while back, where a lorry driver forced me into on coming traffic.

I got his reg and rang the depot, and was advised later that they had sent him on a safe driving course.

Better than nothing I suppose !

Re: Just a Thank You to City Link

Good work, I reported one of my own drivers once, he tried to put the wind up a car who chopped him up by swerving at him as he turned left, the whole rig shimmied from side to side. Little did he know I saw the lot on the way to work.

They really ought to be more careful when the companies name is all over the side of the wagon.

Re: Just a Thank You to City Link

This is a matter for the police, not for some half-assed internal whitewash by Citylink. Let's hope the guy reported it to them.

Peel back the green and yellow skin and it's just a plain old white van underneath

I tend to agree with this, though as an ex multidrop-driver working for the likes of ANC, I was very proud to be a thoughtful and courteous driver. And I found I still did my deliveries as quick as an idiot racing around.

Sure is one for the police, dangerous driving, and as far as company policy goes unless he has signed a waiver form, he shouldnt be using the van for personal use.

As an ex delivery driver, I apologise you had to experience this terrible thing. As a human being, I hope you guys weren't too shook up from it and are okay.
