Madness I,ve been grassed on again....

over the past few years, neighbours of mine (not sure who excactly but i have my suspects) have repeatedly reported me to our local council (twice for noise and once for being a car breaker, and for when i built my garage at the BOTTOM of my back garden claiming i was going to run a business) and police for similar things....
All of which is rubbish, hugely un-justified, and as such all authorities have gone away again satisfied that there is no breach what so ever.

I own my house (inherited from my father 6 years ago, and ive lived there all my life, 28 years)

TODAY, is what really takes the biscuit, mid morning there was a knock at the door, there stood a woman from the RSPCA
apparently there had been reports of us keeping TWO rottweilers OUTSIDE with NO SHELTER or FOOD and WATER!!!
my wife and i have 3 dogs, ONE rottweiler, 1 staffie, and 1 staffie x english.
they have half our garden as an enclosed run, plus a conservatory with heating....
again the woman from the RSPCA went away perfectly happy with our dogs conditions etc....

What i want to know is WHY? what do they get out of doing this? we keep ourselves to ourselves, rarely bother anyone else in the street.
iam not saying we are model citizens but really....

what can we do?

spence

A campaign of vandalism would probably give you a sense of satisfaction.. Might not be the way to go though.

Start making anonymous reports about them. Sign up to things with their name and address. General annoying things, that might stop them doing it to you.

Sorry to hear that Spence

Can't some people let other people live in peace, why do they have to interfere?

Probably no way of finding out for sure. Any neighbours yuo've had run-ins with in the past? Or any that have a dislike for you? Or do you do something that might annoy one particular neighbour?

Re: I,ve been grassed on again....

Sounds like they've got nothing better to do with their time

You're not sure exactly who it is though? are you good friends with any of your neighbours? I'd try and find out who then give them a taste of their own medicine tbh... only problem is things like can escalate very quickly!

Hope you get some sort of result whatever you decide to do

Re: I,ve been grassed on again....

My old neighbour had hassle with a guy a few doors up... he was a builder, so cut out all those coupons from The Sun for about 6 months - he had hundreds of them, everything from conservatories to hearing aids, catalogues to holiday info packs... he filled them all in & posted them on the same day with this guy's address on them (cost him a fortune in stamps) to make sure he got loads of junk mail etc. Thing was... he put the guy's name as "Mr.D.Head"...

Immature maybe, but PMSL!

no run ins, no obvious disslikings, nor do i know of anything that we do to annoy any of our neighbours (dogs rarely bark)

get on really well with both next door neighbours, but even they don't know (more like unwilling to divalge)

could citezens advice help, because technically this could be classed as bullying

now, personally i could probably take on any of my neighbours, but will have obvious repercussions

Re: I,ve been grassed on again....

You are an industrial dog **** producer with that lot..come on admit it...

I confess that as a tradesman, going into houses with lots of animals is one of my less enjoyable experiences...mind you on half the council estates the dogs have more brains than the tenants.

Easy. Phone round all of your neighbours pretending to be from RSPCA doing a follow up call (or get a friend to if you think they'd notice). When you get someone that doesn't say WTF to "just following up a complaint we had from you recently" you know who it is.

And then you can hit them with the Dog ****

Re: I,ve been grassed on again....

Hmm... You say you've been "reported for noise" and "for being a car breaker..." and that you are "not a model citizen".

Sounds like you already know what it is you're doing that is annoying the neighbour - noise in particular was recently voted the most annoying thing about "bad" neighbours.

Can't you just stop? Maybe they think you're the anti-social one?
