Who are thieving toerags?
The chavs down the road? No.
The junkie in town? Nope.
The local drunk asleep in the bus shelter? Nah.
I'll tell you who are thieving toerags.
I'm snooping around online when I see that the awesome Henry Rollins is bringing his 2008 spoken word tour to the UK in january.
Now I went to the last speaking gig he did in London a couple of years back, and loved every moment of it, so I HAD to get tickets to go again.
And as usual, Ticketmaster pretty much has the monopoly, so I bite my lip and book four tickets for me, the wife and another couple.
The tickets are £16.50 each. No problem, not a bad price.
Plus £3.50 PER TICKET admin fee (!!!!!) That's another £14, for booking 4 seats at a venue. (!!!)
And on top of that, you get two postage options, one is the traditional mailing them to you, at a cost of £2.50
Or you can have them send them in a PDF format to your e-mail, where you print them off yourself, on your own paper, using your own ink.
But that option costs £2.50 as well (!!!) (What exactly are they
doing to earn that £2.50?)
So I'm having them mailed to me. At least I feel slightly better about the cost
So the total cost of 4 tickets at £16.50 each is actually £82.50
I HATE TICKETMASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I do love Henry Rollins, so I stump up the extortionate cost anyways
