They are also not for d*******s to park on right up to the junction itself thereby not allowing anyone to see out of or across the junction. Stupidly dangerous. I'm sure I remember in the old days you could not park within 10 yards of a junction?

Not just the old days - that's still a current reg - though the distance is metrified now to 10M

Not just that one; there are others in the list such as not parking on the pavement and across dropped kerbs that are totally ignored both by drivers and those who are supposed to enforce the law.
