Madness I Found A Use For My Club Cloverleaf Card !!

It can be bent in half until it snaps in two and then one half can then be shoved into the seat mounted seatbelt securing thingy (along with the seatbelt buckle itself) to hold the buckle down in the holder to stop the fluking seatbelt alarm going off !!

Then, when you're stopped a a suitably well lit and safe location, you can use it to prise the clips off the wire connecting the seat pressure pad and seat mounted belt buckle part to make the wire loose enough so that it isn't fitted so tightly that it pulls the bottom half of said component partially out of it's housing hence making it impossible for the metal buckle to make the necessary connection to turn the alarm/chime and dashboard light out !!

Dealers and their lack of quality control after warranty work ... don't you just love 'em !!

Or, you could ask your "friendly" dealer to de-activate the alarm.....

That's the pioneering spirit matey!: Good old British improvisation, when others would throw their cards in Carry on, to get the thing working right where corners were cut, or twer'nt' designed, or made right in the first place. Love It:

Re: I Found A Use For My Club Cloverleaf Card !!

Got an issue myself to take up with a supplier,( not her reliable 147, I'm pleased to say), it's something I purchased for a hobby project I'm working on, anyway, bl***y thing can't have been looked at QC, because it was made undersize. I really should of returned it I suppose, but like you mate, it was the weekend, and anyway I wanted to use it!: So, modified it, it works now, but am going back to the supplier, and will suggest a little consideration, for my endeavours.

Really makes you though, all this 'fit for purpose' caper we have to go through, nowadays. Have to put my considerate, tactful, hat on, if I can find it?: Best part is, I reckon they had an inkling it was duff, because they said bring it back, if it won't fit.: Supposed to be an engineered component! Rant Over, on my bike shortly, to face 'em.:

SSHHH. Don't knock dealers and quality control. Smoke and mirrors You could be jumping on the Alfa unreliability bandwagon. This was succinctly explained by a poster who questioned the "moaning" that another poster displayed in another thread, where he felt that 80 days wait for his car and around forty days for a current model radiator hose was excessive.

What you do is bend over, pull down your dacks, and tell the dealers to do their worst. You deserve it. You're a past customer and that means you're dirt.

That is until you start looking for another car and then all of a sudden the dealers morph into well-oiled organizers with the ability to do anything for you no matter how impossible, (yesterday) and you're their closest pal. If they had tails they'd wag them as you walk into the showroom and their eyes will mist over with pure unconditional love. One week after buying the car. They become invisible.

Never too old to learn, I see...

I can't believe you really have to go through all of this...
I might have set fire to the dealership in the meantime, and you are learning - such self-control! I stand in awe.

Well my desk 'phone isn't working today (and the ones around me too) so the dealer has been spared the tirade of foul language that the wildlife near the A505 at Duxford were subjected to last night !!
There may be a Foot & Mouth warning in place around that area today given the possibility of the traumatized cows and sheep that may be foaming at the mouth in shock at what they heard !!
My voice has slightly given up on me today following that too !!

Luckily my 156 is so old, she hasn't seen a main dealer in years, only the loving arms of a specialist!
