Hangnails

Gaaaah!!!!

Annoying. Worse than papercuts in my book.

Only solution is to cut the fekka with mini penknife scissors.

Getting one just as you board a longhaul flight is the worst.
Half your finger's missing on arrival after picking and picking and biting at the thing.

Nail clippers cut as close to the sound flesh as you can. :

Grab it with teeth/tweezers and pull it straight.

It will hurt for a bit but at least it will be gone and cause no more frustration.

I never knew they had a name. This why I come on AO!

This is the half-nail, half-flesh bit that acts as a 'runner' for the growing nail?

Cut your finger off for a permanent solution.

No more hangnail.

Me neither - hang nails, funny!

Is the bit that gets left in the corner down the side?

I think so.

What really annoys me is when I get a breach in the cuticle, I tug on it and then it peels away a sliver of skin halfway up to the first joint in my finger .

Be careful where your fingers go to excite, as you never know what chastity defensiveness may have been installed?

Possibly some barbed or razor wire was blocking the entrance?
