A fast census of Giulia 'H8er' Threads

So, I am having trouble keeping up with the Giulia H8er threads at the moment, and no one seems to be inventing an algorithmic method of searching for H8er threads efficiently (one would suggest this should be made available in the 'Advanced Search' page).

For those of you that are new members, and have joined for the sole purpose of hating on the Giulia I have taken a fast census of 'H8er Threads' for you to start with, and so current members can keep up with the current 'in-hate' topics. The Geneva Motor Show isn't that far away (5-6 months at this post), so a second pulse of 'H8ing' will be due, as we will find out more details regarding the regular versions of the Giulia.

7 October 2015
Starting with Greener's well thought out thread, for those of you who think it looks like something else or is 'derivative', please start here:
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...ooks-like.html

Secondly, the thread that started it all, before the Giulia (H8ers) lounge was invented; there's plenty of hate to be found in here if you want to add to it.
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/gener...ig-reveal.html

If you fancy a general cow about the design of the Giulia and wish to make a hateful contribution, then this is the thread for you:
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...seriously.html

If you want to complain about the turnaround that the Skunkworks team had to do on the design and engine work please go here:
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...hats-good.html

If however, the interior is not to your liking, and you want a good moan about the prototype interior details:
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...-pictures.html

Otherwise, do you question the 'Ring time for the prototype cars? Do you think it's not possible or unfair in some way?
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...g-testing.html
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...m3-killer.html (This may be more up to date for you than the other one)

13 November 2015
Despite explanation in response to the Giulia being inspired by the 156, do you still disagree?
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...t-the-3er.html

23 November 2015
If you think the engine selection that has been announced simply isn't good enough, then consider this thread.
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...h-276-bhp.html

Not impressed with the car configurator online? You should probably head here:
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...or-online.html

Wish to complain about the spec sheet that has been spotted on the US model?
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...pec-sheet.html

Seen a Lexus? Still think its time for Giulia bashing? Here's the way!
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/gener...-are-alfa.html

20 Janurary 2016
Annoyed that a car that is not on sale is winning awards from magazines? Step this way.
https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...rd-winner.html

Sadly there is no Official AutoExpress hatred for the Giulia yet.

I will try and keep this updated as the H8er threads arise, I would hate anyone to miss out on an opportunity to h8.

I also ask other members to make contributions to this fast census, so we can keep up to date with the H8.

I thank the members of AO for kindly providing some well named threads so that the H8 can be evenly spread, rather than focused in a single topic.

I agree with you. Reading about the Giulia on here sometimes made me think some people even really want it to fail.

But even better so - because I belong the ones that mostly like it and I'm sure it will take us all by awe

Luckily it never goes on for too long, because in almost every thread the people shouting "God it's terrible, it's no where near as nice looking as that pinnacle of Alfa design - the 159" and the people shouting "God it's terrible, it's no where near as nice looking as that pinnacle of Alfa design - the 156" start having a scrap about which of those cars is better instead.

I particularly like the odd one who starts claiming that their posts are entirely objective (quite an achievement on a matter of looks - something which is unavoidably subjective.)

I don't understand the hate for this car.
It's got 510hp
Previous Alfa offerings have been pretty crap compared to equivalent BMWs/Mercs/Audis.
I think people would embrace it more if the top spec car was a 2.2jts with 185hp which weighed a more than a tank and the timing belt snapped every third Sunday that would appeal to the haters.

You're all missing the point that the design queues[sic] and motives[sic] are just
not to the liking of your AlfaH8ers.

Show and tell...

Some fellow design folk that I know - having seen it first-hand it at the Frankfurt Show - reckon it looks considerably more impressive in the metal than in any of the photos.

Phew...!

images of the Giulia with MS Paint ....

I don't know what it proves or disproves, but hey.....

I'm just sticking my name down for one if I can. I Like it! As long as that doesn't mean people will treat me like a Porsche driver.

Some are just hoping their dislike for the car will translate into "a lot of car for the money " in a few years time yeah?

Its a proper shed of a german lookalike, I hope it fails to sell and the depreciation is monumental.

Then I can afford one and run it

In all serious i hope it does well enough for Alfa to continue to innovate and evolve their models - Viva Alfa!

It's one thing having an opinion on a car, it's another thing when it turns to berating someone for buying a car, something which is a personal choice at the end of the day.

I personally like the Giulia and it may be the car that replaces the GTA. If I do, and anyone fancies telling me what a poor choice I have made, I will be hopeful that you have a suitably large appendage to go f*** yourself.

It's getting a bit daft isn't it.

I joined in and posted my view on the most recent 'Nurburgring-time' style thread, as the OP had asked a question/made a statement about what they saw in the video. However I was quickly shot down by said OP as though my post was the dumbest thing ever. So I left them to it!

It's amazing how much some people think they know about a car that isn't even in mass production yet (to my knowledge) and hasn't been driven or tested by any journos. You can't tell some folk though...

1999 Alfa GTV Lusso 3.0 V6 24v
1992 Maserati 222 4V (project) - Bigger turbos and rust.
1993 Alfa 75 3.0 V6 Cloverleaf (project) - More rust

(Ex) 1998 Alfa 156 2.5 V6 24v
(Ex) 1999 Alfa GTV 3.0 V6 24v
(Ex) 1994 Alfa 164 Q4 3.5 'Savali'
(Ex) 1991 164 3.0 12v Cloverleaf
(Ex) 1995 145 1.6 8V Boxer Zender

Yeesh, just ventured into that thread and remembered why I am spending less and less time on AO.
