French public transport

So we are going to Nice on Sunday (I'm not moasting, we go with friends to keep the costs down ).

Because we are going to use the public transport from the airport, I may never be seen again. From the airport, the most logical thing to have is an express shuttle to and from the airport.

Of course, a civilised place like Nice has this available. Sadly, and here is the problem, you may only go to Cannes OR Monte-Carlo on the express shuttle bus. Going from Nice Airport to its host city (Nice, apparently) is not logical or possible on the shuttle service. :wall:

Also, because most buses go to a central station, in most cities, they also deleted the bus station; so now the buses go to seemingly random termination points (literal? ). Clearly they have been speaking to JTDm drivers on the best course of action to rectify the transport issues. :wall:

We are now confined to the bus service followed by the tram, fortunately I/we can read enough French that I/we may not die.

Where's your hotel? I think the number 99 bus takes you to the train station.

There have been a number of tram related deaths in Nice recently.
Watch yourselves.

Whatever you do don't use a Taxi. You'll be bum raped.

Also, the weather tomorrow is going to be atrocious.

Have fun !

PM me if you're heading west up the coast at all.

We are absolutely not using the taxi, or the helicopter .

Because of our late arrival (21:15 or such), we cannot use the 99, but instead opt for the 98. This should get us to a tram stop of some from. We are positoned right near the train station, which shouldn't be too long to get to on the tram, so hopefully we cannot possibly get lost.

While we are visiting, we are hoping to get to Monte Carlo and possibly Cannes as a day trip or such. Thanks for the heads up!

That's because Nice is a crap-pile, so they assume everyone will be going elsewhere.

It's like an uncomfortably hot Blackpool.
