Boring Dear HP Printer

When I want to print something I want to print it now although I am happy to wait a few seconds for you to spit out the page. However I'm not prepared to wait multiple minutes of clicking and whirring while you are "preparing to print". In my opinion you've had the last 16 hours since I last printed anything to bloody prepare yourself.

My current printer is an HP and it will be the last one I ever buy from them.

I don't mind the waiting time with my dated but reliable Brother 135 C, but it does annoy me when it starts it's auto clean routine, clanking and grinding away mainly in the early wee hours!

Switch it off at bedtime then it cannot do anything in the wee small hours.

Yeah but it's nothing to do with HP really is it, all printers are pretty poor at first page out unless you can set it up to be always on and primed for use.

It's when you get click, whirr, chunter chunter chunter, click click click, whir, chunter chunter chunter, clicka clicka clicka. And that is followed by a flashing light to tell you one of the inks has run out

It was fine when you clicked print, but it has just used the last bit in its tedious cleaning process.

Three times out of four it manages to print promptly, why not the fourth time? I'd much prefer it to do like Z's and play with itself in the middle of the night just so it's aroused when I need it.

Exactly.

Once the low ink warning is shown I'm convinced that it cleans itself more often so the ink that's left runs out quicker.

To be fair this is a pretty poor rant as there's minimal emoji use and harsh language.

There wasn't enough ink left for emojis, just changed the cartridge though...

Can't remember which side of the bed is mine let alone where the printer is to switch it off!

Anyway it's a good test of my hearing really so I'm not really complainig at all, just joining in this exciting thread, that is all.
