How pathetic are swiftcover?!?!

OK,

I got a good deal on my 147 (well, it started off looking like a good deal) until i needed to have my car serviced and arrange alternative cover for the loan car.

"I am sorry sir, but we do not offer that service", said the voice on the other side of the phone.

"WTF i thought as the words "that has to be the stupidest thing i heard of" dribbled out of my mouth that was lying on the desk at the time.

"All companies are different sir", said the bemused representative.

"No I corrected, most companies are the same, IT IS INDEED SWITCOVER THAT ARE DIFFERENT AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY" i assured.

WTF is up with the world. As i said..."i am not dropping a 97 rover in for a service and getting a Ferrari as a loaner...its a 155 for my 147 which is fully comp."

The only other car I would have besides my alfa would be another alfa.

Won't they transfer your cover to another car? Sounds ****e man.. but then the cheapest quote doesn't always go with the best service.

Re: How pathetic are swiftcover?!?!

That sounds slightly worrying, as I'm with them.
They won't insure me on the VR6, even though it is the same group as the T4, so I'll be cancelling my insurance with them as soon as it is sold.

How long til your cover expires Andy? Might not be worth losing a year's no claims by cencelling your insurance if you only have a few months left to run on it..

Re: How pathetic are swiftcover?!?!

I'm not fussed, I've got 5 years no-claims bonus anyway. The policy started in July, so I won't be losing out.

Nope, not transferable and I can't use 3rd party if the car is linked to the motor trade...i lose 150 pounds of my payment if i cancel as well so i'm stuck up shirt creak without a paddle

...needless to say, i won't be using them next year.

this isn;t the first thread stating how poor swiftcover are when it comes to actually using them for anyhting other than the initial quote, apparently they are dire when you have an accident too

I won't be using them
