Not Happy ****** in a Saab

Yesterday I had to drive to Essex for a wedding. We meant to leave at 8am to make sure we got there in time, but for various reasons we didn't leave until 9am - so I was in a rush.

Where the A483 tunrs into the A5 the road becomes a single carraigeway, although quite wide so its normally easy to overtake.

I caught up with some dick in a Sabb who was following a BMW 1 series () who was behing a van. Neither the BMW or Saab were looking to keen to pass the van.

However, when I got on the tail of the Saab the driver woke up, as did the BMW driver, and we all got past the van. However, they were still driving a good deal slower than me. The Saab was making no attempt to pass the BMW, but continued to drive nose to tail making it more difficult for me to pass (if the Saab driver had not intention of passing the BMW why not just leave a gap so I could pass one then the other )

We got to a roundabout, which goes into two lanes. However, the Saab driver positioned his car blocking both lanes, so I couldn't go up the insilde and pass They still then continued to hold me up.

At the next roundabout though the road was so wide I got into the right had lane, as the Saab couldn't stop me, and out accellerated him around the roundabout. As I passed the stupid ****** tooted me Just to show what an ar5e he'd been, he then dropped right back.

What was this blokes problem. The roundabouts are two laned and he was driving slower than I was - therefore I overtook him. Obviously he's the sort of idiot who thinks no one should overtake him or drive faster than he does. Really he should have been in the BMW too

In every step, I hear your sobbing
Dare I break the shade with one caress
Dare I trespass to lift the veil
To touch the lips so soft and frail

It may be that love comes once and once only, preceded by rehersal, followed by regret.

Know well that however right a man may be they always find the fallen one guilty.

All that is required for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing

I hate people like this. This is a good reason to keep tubs of tomato sauce in your glovebox

Re: ****** in a Saab

we have a big long road here in Grimsby.. long and straight

(Peaks Parkway)

Its almost wide enough for two.. You get one slow driver on it n there's chaos.. it quite busy, so there's no chance really of overtaking, unless your lucky.. but the slow cars pull over to the left.. as if to let you pass.. but there's no way of passing as its just too slim to take safely..

if they know there going slow, by pulling over, in there new cars, why don't they go that 10/15mph faster!

Re: ****** in a Saab

Perhaps he sometimes comes on here and after reading your tales about how you get comprehensibly blown off by Jeeps and Reliant Robins he was just saying 'well-done' you've actually managed to beat a car

Interestingly, last week a Fiat Punto pulled out in front of me (in a 30mph zone) and very slowly accelerated to 30mph. I did not bib or flash my lights.

We then turned into a road where the speed limit is 40mph but the Punto only again slowly accelerated so I put my foot down and went past it (it must have been doing about 20mph).

When I passed it too decided to toot and flash it lights.

Grimsby! I used to live in Keelby!! Well my parents still do!

Peaks Parkway is a silly road. Anyhoo I was joining the A13 out of London yesterday and as I came to the end of the slip road the car in the lane next to me wasn't making any effort to accelerate or decelerate in order to let me filter into the same lane. So I just dropped a gear and floored it to get in front of her. I did with about 7 feet to spare between both cars.

She then decided to flash her lights for the next 30 seconds at me, (In bright daylight) as I disappeared into the distance.

Infuriating!

I Know where you are all comming from,i have met a lot of complete Wan*[email protected] that can't mind there own business and just let you go by,or [email protected]#s that drive with no respect for other road users. You go for a nice drive and someone wants to spoil it for you So am thinking of a track day car nothing to serious just to have a bit of fun in, so when on the road you can ignore these mindless idiots and think wait till the next track day Naturally it will be an Alfa,as they are usually cheep to buy and will be good to experement on.

Beemer 3-series piloted by women seems to the most common ****-to-Ralf guided weapon.

Apologies to any lady Beemer drivers on here.... but then again, you're probably only on this forum because you weren't looking where you were going, or you were trying to edge me off it!

Re: ****** in a Saab

Oh you boys with your polite tales
of driving woe in England.

I had to slam on the anchors last night because
someone pulled out of a turning on my right
to turn right. (Toward me)

But there was a steady stream of traffic
going his way, so he just drove along towards
me on the wrong side of the road trying to
merge into the traffic on the correct side of
the road. Finally someone let him in before he hit me.

What a top ****!

Perhaps he was English and had a momentary lapse as to which side of the road he should be on

Re: ****** in a Saab

THere seems to be more and more idiot drivers these days.
Theres is one following me regularly on the way to work in the mornings (white Honda Integra) Driving about an inch from me all the way down the bypass constantly.
Have been ****ing him off by slowing to about 30mph, seems to make him quite angry. But still there he was again this morning, So booted it this morning and he followed, about half way down the bypass I may have jabbed the brakes quite hard
Think he must have 5hit himself because he dropped right back and stopped following.
Was I right to do it?.......

But if he went into the back of you, then it would be his fault for not keeping his distance. And you could claim on his insurance for repairs, and for the really, really bad whiplash you got from it

If you weren't bothered about your car, it would surely teach him a lesson, but I couldn't do it to my Alfa.
