Cry Like A Baby Deeply depressing

I purchased my facelift 156 18mths ago. Since then I have been denied the use of it for the following periods

8 weeks for fitting complete new heater box.
1 week for bodged 36k service issues
6 weeks for rear end shunt repair.
3 weeks and counting...... for central locking problems following rear end shunt.

These delays in the main have been caused by dealer incompetence and appaling parts distribution from AR, however this doesn't help when your mates constantly s****** and make cutting remarks about Alfas reliability etc, the fact I am (or am sometimes) driving a beautifully styled car starts to wear thin. At least its a way of keeping the mileage down....

Re: Deeply depressing

the depression fades quickly once you get your car back

but then there is a little voice in the back your head which reminds you about it, when you start thinking -
'hmmm, them 159's are seriously cool, I would quite like one of those'

I hate that little voice, almost as much as I hate the "is your car broke down again?" :ieh:ers.

me
6 weeks, waiting on a piece of fuel hose
7-8 weeks, Alarm issues, car damaged in dealers care, bonnet resprayed/windscreen replaced - rejected rubbish paint job - front re-resprayed and blended better, plus an extra day, 1 week later to re-replace the new windscreen which had a cloudy spot.

plus all the other 2-3days / 1 week jobs, (they're a breeze, and almost non-existent since registering on AO )

But them 159's are seriously cool, and I can't wait to see what the 149 will look like.

Good Luck with it

Re: Deeply depressing

That sounds terrible mate

Keep your chin up, you own a beautiful car and the servicing network is being upgraded by AR (let's hope it works out)

Re: Deeply depressing

I have to win this one - I had no car for 3 1/2 months at the start of the year while it was in the bodyshop (bonnet fell off). Been off the road at the minute for nearly 2 weeks.
Quite annoying

Well Happy Re: Deeply depressing

Its happened!!!! - I got my car back last night and it is beautiful for sure. I gave it a wash last night, then spent many moments standing in the drive admiring its sleek lines until it got dark and my wife told me to come in and stop being weird
