Madness stealing chav gits!!

Only had my 'new' GTV 2.0 TS for a week. I previously had a 156 2.0 Veloce with a rather nice stainless steel exhaust. The GTV had what I guess was the standad exhaust and didn't look quite as good. Having spent all my money on the car I bought a cheap 'tip' fom Halfords and screwed it on - not ideal but looked ok. Wife took the car out today and some chav scum had stolen it!!

Ok - so it only cost a tenner but it is the thought that some little scroat has been sniffing round my car. Just leave alone - IT ISN'T YOURS!

Scabgutted Gits! Ban them all, or increase the amount they have to contribute to Road Funds, or some other penalty. Stocks, whipping, 'dunking' in the Duck Pond.:

Re: stealing chav gits!!

Sorry to hear that

If I were you though I'd buy a Larini exhaust for it - it looks and sounds much better, and they won't be able to steal it - unless they take the whole car

Wee sods! With me, its always my chrome tyre valve caps that get pinched. You spend the time, money and effort to give your car that nice wee finishing touch. . .for some wee scroat to dismantle it in seconds!

Scumbags either that or it fell off and someone got it through their windscreen.

Re: stealing chav gits!!

Had the same problem at one point AV, so had those alternative valves fitted, when I had new tyres.I think you could tighten and loosen them, with a small hexagon socket,so they were beyond finger tight, to remove?:

Have tried them anti-theft valves too ZF. . but they simply wrench them off with pliers, scuffing your alloys in the process. Quickly gave up on them as cheaper to replace the caps than refurbish your alloy! Sadly, if they want summit fae yer car, they're gonna take it, no matter what! So question is. . .what do you do? - make it easy for them, so they don't damage your car trying to pinch something off it? or try and protect it/make it difficult and then find they've caused hundreds of pounds of damage whilst their determined little scroaty fingers/pliers/wrenches help themselves? Aaaarggghhh!

Re: stealing chav gits!!

I had a Citroen BX 16v years ago, got a cheap pattern exhaust for it with a manky looking downturned tailpipe on. Cut the bent bit off and fitted a chrome end, went through three before I found one I could fit on and it would stay on.

Getting hot and vibrating used to make them drop off.

Re: stealing chav gits!!

I actually live in a little suburban town within Bristol that's on the outskirts, and it's at times like this I'm really glad I do. Minimal crime area and all that.

Sadly chav's are everywhere and every time I park the 156 at Asda and see the t**t's circling on their undersized (Probably stolen!) BMX's around the parking lot I worry for my car's safety.

People should learn to leave other people's stuff the hell alone, chavs however are beyond lessons and should have their fingers removed with pliers.

One time I pulled up outside Burger King and saw a bunch of chav's having a go at an old man and he shouting back. There were about 6 or so of them and a few were on bicycles zooming around him.

I got out of my mates GTi, strolled over to them with my wallet flipped open and said: "Darren Parke; Off Duty Police Officer, whats going on here then?". The ones on bikes scadaddled quicker than I thought humanly possible, and the remaining older ones backed off saying how it was his fault etc. They soon retreated to their scooters and took off into the night though, lol.

The old bloke thanked me, shook my hand and got into his car and went off thinking I truly did work for the constabulary.

Although I am CERTAIN making out you're a copper to chav's is illegal, I find it works a bloody treat. Although perhaps the wallet flip may have been a tad OTT, and problematic if one of the brain dead scum bags would have had the intellect to actually ASK to see my supposed ID close up. But luckily none of them did. Morons.

Treat them with the contempt they deserve and you can't go wrong.

Exhaust wise just save up for a full system mate, I used to have a stuck on tip on the end of my Ford Probe until some lady reversed slowly into the back of me ripping it off, lol.

She paid for a bumper respray and a new backbox though so I was happy enough, plus she didn't give me any hassle; Just admitted it was her fault. Cannot say fairer than that.

Take it steady and just be grateful they didn't steal something more valuable.

Cheers,
Darren

Re: stealing chav gits!!

That is a possibility actually Julian, is your wife sure it didn't fall off on journey? It can happen...

More than likely though it was the chav scrotes, I blame them for everything though, lol

Re: stealing chav gits!!

I did consider the possibility of it just falling off but I think it's unlikely. I secured it with bolts and a jubilee clip & it had been on for a few days - anyway I'm sure my wife would hear it falling off !!!???
