Obsolete 155... :(

Can't find parts for my beast any more!!

I've a small list of things that don't exist any more.. but added a new one this weekend - the plastic elbow joint and pipe connecting the fuel pump to the filter.

Over the years the plastic elbow joint on mine been worn through by the metal yoke that holds it in place (chafed it away, so it weeps petrol...) but the part is obsolete.

I can't imagine Halfords does them (it's not "universal" looking at all) so (apart from a lump of Araldite) I'm stumped.

I'll chase around the breakers (assume lower miles one will be okay ) or I'll try Fiat Tipo/ Alfa 145 / 156? to see if they're the same part but ARUK not having bits is going to do for me old ship...

Bloody *******s!

Have you tried more than one dealer....I was recently told I couldn't get some 166 caliper bolts but another dealer could source them easily?

Try mango's, speak to Rick, he's quite helpful. Failing that, just call lancs breaker, he should have one

Re: Obsolete 155... :(

Have a look here at this catalog (in dutch but helpfull nonetheless)

http://www.tuynder.com/catalog_wizard.php?search=2&make=R&mk_desc=ALFA%20 ROMEO&model=167&mod_desc=155

Otherwas what about a car junkyard? I have looked through database of the countries (denmark) and could find almost anything on whatever kind of car (including the Alfa 155)

We get this quite a bit over in Integrale land. Could be time to think laterally and plug the gap with some quality aftermarket components?

Very easy to get hold of, and with very little imagination you can normally solve most problems.

Re: Obsolete 155... :(

It's sad when you can't get the bits any more to maintain your beast

...but I'm sure you'll be able to adapt something that'll work

Re: Obsolete 155... :(

Ralf, surely you could have something fabricated which would do the job? Or even just use a long enough bit of rubber fuel pipe hose, so that it can curve enough to do the job?

As oothers have said, I'm sure you'll be able to get something fabricated. It is annoying that you can't get the parts though
