Ignoring the snob/**** perception thing that seems to be a big deal in England, they are great cars.
They might look like muck at the moment with the current styling (M series excepted), but they still drive very well indeed and sadly, are better drivers cars than Alfa latest offerings.
Actually I met a very nice BMW driver on the way to the Alfa Donnington bash last year.
I had just left the Holyhead Ferry enclosure and rejoined normal roads when I pulled off to the side of the road, and was deflating my tyre pressures (have to raise them to board the ferry since my car is -30mm for trackdays
Anyway a beemer 3 series coupe came past on the other side of the road, stopped and reversed slowly back up to me.
I was expecting something along the lines "Alfa broke down, need some help?", but no, he just said
"thats one absolutely beautiful car you got there mate!" and drove off..
They are not all bad you know
