Madness Got keyed...

Some @££$%^& has keyed my car. Using 3 keys... I now have a decorative 3 line stripe over the bonnet. Thankfully it's not too long, but a good 6/7 cm... Seriously thinking of installing a CCTV looking outside, so next time I can see who the gentleman is and hand over his photo to the police. Would really like to get my hands on the loser for 5 minutes only...

That is sad to hear. What the hell do these people get out of doing this kind of thing??

We have secure off street parking but still installed a good CCTV system when my 156 got broken into ( horse, barn door ). Even if the police can't do anything you may at least recognise the person and, ahem, pay them a visit

Re: Got keyed...

My old 147 got keyed. Eventually I had an accident and the panel in question got re-sprayed.

It's simply jealousy, I think - they can't stand to think of another person owning such a lovely car. Sorry mate, perhaps Chipsaway or an equivalent company can help??

Re: Got keyed...

I don't think its to do with jealousy, its boredom; take a look at the cars which get keyed, it's not restricted to nice 'uns! My othe rhalf had her scabby 1993 astra keyed last year. Hope you get it fixed up and looking lovely agian soon, I remember how upset I was when my 145 got done

Re: Got keyed...

On that evidence, mave, I take it all back!

Unless in the case of the Astra the keyer's trying to make a point.....!

Still, these people are a bloody nuisance.

Re: Got keyed...

thanks guys, do you know of any product that can remove the marks (they don't seem to be very deep) or at least make them less obvious? Note sure I am keen on a respray just yet.

Bloody vandals... I don't think anyone would blame you if you carved "****" in his forehead with a craft knife

Thats if you can catch the little f***er. Seems like these people are getting more and more common. I was really annoyed when they did my 156.

Re: Got keyed...

If it's not to deep, try T cutting it AR - it might work if it's not through the primer.

Hope you catch the little see you next Tuesday!

T-Cut or some scratch removers from Turtle Wax (Halfords sell them).

Re: Got keyed...

Run your thumbnail over the scratch. If it catches on the scratch, then there really isn't much you can do (compound / T cut may help a bit but you'll never lose the scratch completely).

Funny how no-one ever catches these f*cking w*nkers keying cars. Definitely worth giving someone a seriously good hiding for.
