K cider.........

Many years ago a crowd of us consumed a crate of this stuff atop St Catherines Hill near Winchester (the big hill next to the M3)......on the way back down I lost my footing and ended up rolling through a load of rabbit droppings before arriving in a giggling mess a few yards from some picknicking families.......being locals they were not best amused as I recall

And the moral of this story is.........K cider is good stuff.

..Twas the proper 8.2% stuff in the black bottle though,I'd dread to think that they've reduced it to 6% in order to appeal to children or whatever?

I prefer cider to beer now! 'Spect that goes against the Grain? I'm serious about that, seems better on my internals if you get my drift? Although you probably won't want to get my drift, I suppose.

Never made the comparision, but could be? Perhaps that's why we are both happy men, if a bit windy?

Re: i just got back from the outdoor

the same thing happened with labatt ice.

i loved that stuff, really smooth beer, then they cut the alcohol from 5.6 to 5% and people stopped buying it as it tasted horrible, i don't even know if you can still buy it ?

bacardi spice is another example, originally 40& but cut to 35%.
bacardi spice was absolutely lovely, much better than morgans spiced.

i found an off licence last year with 6 bottles left, they must be practically the only bottles left of the stuff now, so i bought them all !
tragically they're all finished, and i can't find any more !

you're never alone with schizophrenia.

Trebor, are you a brummy? I lived there for a year, and was largely nonplussed by the outdoor = offy thing.
Surely, if anything, an outdoor is an old fashioned toilet?

Christ. This thread is so old that when I read the title in 'new posts' I clicked on it to make exactly the same comment I apparently already have!

Re: i just got back from the outdoor

Only a fellow Silihillian would say outdoor

I was brought up in Solihull - lived in Elmdon (near the Rover) for 20 years and Solihull centre for 4.

Called as such because many pubs in Birmingham have a seperate off-sales shop attached to them. I had to get used to saying offie when I left home to go to college or no-one had a scoobie what I was talking about

Re: i just got back from the outdoor

I went to the Sheriff. My neice and nephew are at Ashlawn now.

I didn't live in Rugby but just went to school there. I lived in Brandon and then Binley Woods which I guess are about 5 or 6 miles outside of Rugby towards Coventry.

I moved to Kent when I was 15 and finished my education there.
