Ebay ffs...

What was i meant to do, bought an item from someone on ebay. Get the parcel delivered on friday, item was a fake, a very bad fake too. got the seller to refund my money. The seller is now unhappy cos he has negative feedback. Did he really expect me to give him good feedback for trying to sell me a fake item . what a muppet.....

Have reported him already.

The Sellers ''supplier'' is saying it is the real thing, top quality, not fake,110% genuine. I have got to dissagree with him.

Was goin to get it for my dad for christmas. As soon as i got it delivered, i knew that i had bought a fake.

Pic 1, check the lacoste badge not even on properly.

pic 2, if you look closely, you can see the fishing line that the badge is stitched on with.

God knows what that means. I can only assume English is not the sellers strongest point.

There are some real dodgy people on ebay, and quite often Paypal are useless at getting your money back as well.

Going to reply to his follow up in abit
I got a refund straight away. He begged me to leave him good feedback as i was the first person to complain about any item he has sold (this i very much doubt btw).

In my original email to him, i said i was going to report him for selling fakes of the crappest quality. he offered me a refund within the hour, refunded back through paypal and begged me to leave him good feedback and he would do the same (good of him i know )

In this instance you have done other potential customers of him a favour by leaving the feedback that you did.

At least they can now be aware that he sells fakes.

Report him to Ebay or contact the brands he is selling, looks like he's been getting away with it for a while. He will keep on selling fake goods if no-one reports him.

ebay where the good guys and the criminals vie to get your cash for goods.a market place.
the good ones stay...the bad ones disappear and open up again under a different name.
If you think that is bad try getting ugh boots.

Have to disagree there, as a seller I have found that paypal find in favour of the buyer every single time. I sell (mostly) mobile phones and have had them back smashed, covered in grease, deliberately damaged, even swapped for faulty items (one wasn't even the same model!) and buyers falsely reporting there was nothing in the box but they always find in favour of the buyer.

I've given up on ebay tbh. I occasionally buy if there is something I can't find anywhere else or if something is a particularly good price but it's not often. I don't sell on there anymore, its not worth the hassle or the frankly extortionate fees. Paypal is no better as thats ebay too.

I recently purhcased a diamond Gucci watch for just over £300 second hand on ebay, still a bargainbut alas it turned out to be a copy..............upon which i messaged the seller, he instantly refunded me, i sent the item back and he then sold it as a designer style watch for £10.50. I think he honestly believed it was real as he was very appologetic adn refunded me quickly with no questions. Paypal is great as it gives you peace of mind and buyer and seller protection. I dont doubt though there are many sellers trying to pass counterfiet items off as the real thing............
