Madness Door ding on the GT

Clare had the GT valeted this morning (my back is too dodgy to do it myself) and you can no plainly see a door ding on the passenger side door

Why is it that people cannot be considerate regarding other people's property It really pees me off

Good job I know a man who can but that's another £50 down the drain

Not good chap

No matter where you park there is always one selfish person - waiting to park right up next to you ready to dent your car

Hope it gets sorted chap

It was probably one of those anti-speed campaigners who are targetting convicted criminals

Re: Door ding on the GT

I heard those Parent and Child spots are good for avoiding this kind of thing. My GT is completely dingless and I'm afraid if it means keeping it that way I *will* use these spots.

Re: Door ding on the GT

I use two spots in a car park as I didn't pay a fortune to keep my car on the road for someone else to wreck it.

Sorry to hear about this SR

Seems that a Thread Hijack may be imminent, I'll get the peanuts ready.......

Sorry to hear about the ding, whatever you do they are hard to avoid no matter how much thought and care you put into picking a safe place to park.

Re: Door ding on the GT

You have my total sympathy and empathy. 3 years in I've yet to bang the body work on anything, but have a MASSIVE dent across the swage line on the rear door, 2 dings on front passenger, a crease on the drivers so deep it cracked the paint (at a FUNERAL for God sake!) above the twin scrapes from an escort van that backed into it and drove off, and a scrape on the front from someone at Goodwood, and my mates Golf rolled down the drive and marked the bumper below the delivery ding on the boot.

Gah.

Cheers for the clarification

Been told that a contact of a mate does dents so may fall luck with this one

Re: Door ding on the GT

You have my sympathy dude.

Finaly stopped raining long enough to give it a good clean today.... and there's a ding in the front passenger door

The most annoying thing is I'm 99% certain who did it and when, but no proof.

Re: Door ding on the GT

Well the missus is looking for something, whilst I bide my time, using that free bus pass.: Will peruse the Lancias as and when, and if maybe. Anyway, have a new 5metre roll of Body and Bumper guard, with end caps at the ready, and it served us well on the 147, in spite of what the purists think.

Never had one adverse comment on the black anti-ding guards on the 147, and she sold at the asking price to the first viewer. So,...... there you go, dings and dongs,or spoil the lines? The choice is yours.:
